RTL – formerly RTL plus or RTL Television – is a German-language free-to-air television channel that is owned by the RTL Group. It is located in Cologne. RTL was established as an offshoot of Radio Luxemburg in German. It is the largest German private television network. RTL has approximately 500 employees and outsources its news and technical departments.
